His name is Willy Sommers and he is very famous in Belgium. This year he celebrates his 35th year anniversary on stage. He turns 54 on August 9.
He had his first record in July 1971 called "zeven anjers zeven rozen" It also was a big hit in Spain and Germany.
After that song he settled down in Belgium and after all those years he still got a fanclub that counts 4000 members.
That's huge in Belgium. From 1989 till 2004 he was a host for a weekly music show on TV with 1 million viewers a week. It's some kind of top of the pops but in Belgium.
And for 5 years he was a radio-dj for a weekend show. But his heart is set on singing. Always was and always will be !
